Medico-Legal Observation on the 41 Cases of Sexual Violation

Abstract
|
|
|
Ages of victims and offenders and the hymen ruptrues of victims were examined. And also some literatures on the subjest were reviewed, however, no study on this subject were found in Korea, The results were as follows: .
1. The cases are composed of 31 rapes and 10 infamous crimes, including 9 cases of raping. by turns.
2. Ages of the` victims are 10 to 22 years old, while 73% of the offenders are 15 to 22 years old:
3. The more number of the hymen rupture are the lesser degree of them, and locations of the rupture
have a tendency to localize upword portions, as increases of the rupture. One hymen is intact out of
the 31 victims.
4. Out of 31 cases, there are total of 77 hymen ruptures, of which the most are the lateral ruptures.
5. 4 cases of . venereal disease infection are found.
6. Out of the 31 cases, 10 of the victims were deprived virginity before the rape accidents.
7. In the rape cases, degree of hymen rupture and its location seem to be determined by the size of the penis and vagina, attacking posture, severity of resistance and elasticity of the hymen.
